Humpty’s Fate (NaPoWriMo 10 of 30)

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king’s horses and all the king’s men Couldn’t put Humpty together again.

But what if Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall and decided he no longer want to do, go, be, see, feel anymore What if Humpty Dumpty decided it was better to fall What if flight was freedom from what was I mean if all of the Kings Horses and all of the Kings men tried to put Humpty back together again then he must have been a mighty fine thing and if so great then why didn’t they reach Humpty before he climbed the wall And who is to say that he ever wanted to be gathered Attempted to be glued, stuck, wielded back together again Surely humpty must have know it was a mighty tall wall for such a short fellow I believe Humpty chose his fate long before the Kings men arrived
